This is the hour when the mysteries emerge

Today I finally realized why Keith Olberman is so damned angry all the time. I keep a ubiquitous skepticism towards the media, but Olberman so often presents things as they really are that I tend to have a more favorable impression of him, though not one that negates all skepticism. Olberman, I have realized, is one of the few voices, nearly the lone voice showing up the idiocy, sickness, and lies that most of our media and political discourse has become. He is, I now see, the one sane man left in a world of insanity, screaming at those he thinks can be brought back to their sanity. Whether any actually can is debatable, but it is good to see someone pointing out the audacity and ludicrousness of the picture of reality we are supposed to accept. Realizing the world is sick is the first step to not being a part of the sickness, and becoming part of its cure.
